The only question I have is why did they pretend to kill Montag and will Montag ever go back and live his old life instead of living in nature. What I think Montag meant by saying “And when they ask us what we are doing , you can say, We’re remembering” is that they can remember the books, and their old way of living and how things were before they stopped burning books. This is a good quote because it explains that they remember what happened and he’s not going back to being a firemen because he has a mind of his own just like all the other men with him.
