Fahrenheit 451 pp. 21-40
One thing I find confusing in these pages is who is Beatty, and why didn’t the lady in the house want to leave why did she want to stay there? Clarisse is more mature then Mildred according to Montag because Clarisse is not like everyone else. She always has something to say and I t seems like her and Montag communicate better then him and his wife. Clarisse doesn’t like to kill people like kids her age, she asks a lot of questions, has a different way of thinking, and she likes to watch people and meet people with her social skills. Shes not very dark, and brainwashed like everyone else there. She is helping Montag realize things, and is making him think twice about his life for example when she asked if he was happy. People in the novel are different from people now and days. The people are different because you can read books and before you couldn’t. You don’t see young girls walking at 1 in the morning. Its not a normal thing to kill at a young age, or to start a fire. If you started a fire now you would go to jail and in the book nothing happens to them. But then again there’s people now that do start fire that do kill and that have only one way of thinking but most of these people are criminals. And that’s what makes it different.
